Guy Fawkes 2010 at The Ship

Join us Weds, November 3rd for our annual  Guy Fawkes Night.
Guy Fawkes was convicted of attempting to blow up London’s Parliament in in 1605. His goal was to shift political power from the Protestants to the Catholics. Each year England celebrates the foiling of his plot with a “Guy” burned in effigy. We continue the celebration here at The Ship with a burning of the Guy and 1600‘s period costume feast.
Event begins at 6:30
Reservations required. $40 per person. 1 round house beer included.
Cancellations must be submitted before Oct. 26th to avoid the cancellation fee

    i love guy fawks night, are you guys doing “penny for the guy” aswell, opportunity to raise some cash for a good charity

    I agree with Dan! My twins want to enlist themselves to carry the effigy around town to raise money.

    If you know your history, then you would know where you coming from, then you wouldn’t have to ask me…

    What I dont understand it…why not do it on the actualy night….supposed to be teh 5th of Nov. And…considering that day is a Fri…a much better day than a Wed for a late night party.

    Yes, Friday is the historic date but then it interrupts the folks on Friday who just want a regular night out. We’d like to serve them too. Running the logistics of a special event such as this and regular service isn’t feasible.
